An impressive Roman bronze coin (AE3 or AE4) issued under Emperor Valentinian I, one of the last strong rulers of the Western Roman Empire. This coin presents detailed imperial and military iconography, typical of the late Roman period.
- Obverse: Bust of Valentinian I facing right, wearing a diademed helmet and cuirass. Inscription reads:
DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG (Dominus Noster Valentinianus Pius Felix Augustus). - Reverse: Emperor standing facing, holding a labarum and resting hand on a standard; Victory seated at his feet, inscribing a shield. Likely inscription:
GLORIA ROMANORVM (“The Glory of the Romans”). - Date: Circa AD 364–375
